Richard Fishlock , Senior Consultant
Richard has significant experience within the leisure industry and funding sector, offers in–depth knowledge of project development and project management, and is highly skilled in report and bid writing. Richard is a complete and dedicated consultant with unparalleled knowledge of both sides of the funding process, and an integral member of the Continuum team.
Most recently, Richard produced Olympic offer documents for both the Thames Gateway South Essex Partnership Area and the East London Gateway Boroughs. He has also recently completed a Living Landmarks funding bid ‘Unlocking Thamesmead' for Trust Thamesmead and Bexley Council, as well as a multi-million pound Lottery Bid on behalf of Hackney Council. Previously, for over 5 years Richard worked for Sport England as a Case Manager and as a Senior Development Manager. In the latter role Richard was responsible for managing and supporting a team of five in the assessment of applications for funding under various Sport England funding programmes. Whilst at Sport England Richard acquired a reputation for rigorous analysis, and continually delivered quality outputs through all phases of the project development process.
Richard's experience as External Funding Officer for Arun District Council in West Sussex saw him lead the development, preparation and completion of Council and community bids for government, lottery and European grants. Continually seeking personal and professional development, Richard has chaired the Sussex External Funding Forum and is also a member of the Big Lottery Fund's Panel of External Assessors for England . In a voluntary capacity Richard is a Director of Arun Coordinated Community Transport and is also a member of the West Sussex Panel of the Children's Local Network Fund.
